Hi Wil. I use Pete at Pete's European Techniques in Corapolis. He is excellent and really knows his way around 928s. There is also Dan Fowler at FASTCO in Shaler (Rt 8), and George Riggins in Harmony. These are the only shops locally that I would trust with my sharks. I do most of the work my self though. What do you need done?

Also, register for the PVGP this year - we are featuring the 928 as the feature car - there will be a bunch there, including VIN #1 and #6 preproduction press cars.

Thanks Ed,

I have a no start condition. Had really rough cold start coming out of winter hibernation this year. ran well for a while, sat for a week and no go. charged up battery, to take care of the obvious, no good. might go out on a limb and just get a Temp II sensor before I have it towed anywhere. Car seems to eat those things. Corapolis could work. Thanks for the suggestion.

If I have it back up and running, I'll be there.

Best,
W

Could be the cold start injector going bad? Can't remember if those Euros are K-jet like the early US spec cars. Also, easy checks are cleaning the ground straps, especially the one in the hatch from the battery box and the one under the front passenger side engine bay at the engine block to car. I would do those things first - get them all nice and clean, and make sure your battery is fully charged, and then try again.

Also, how old is the battery? If it is old, it may appear to take a charge and look fine, but still not be sufficient for starting the car.

Battery is alway a possibility. It is a year old Interstate. I pull it during the winter. 84-86 Euros are LH cars. No cold start injector. I just have to spend some time with it. I do have to look at all of the grounds. Haven't done that in a while. Temp 2 is an easy start. Then relays. I have to check that the little belt on the twin distributors is intact. Put in a MAF from Rich in AZ last summer. He also did a computer repair for me. So those are low on the list of trouble items. The other items that I have not looked at, or ever remember replacing, are fuel dampers. I'll get it sorted someway or other.
