shark battery maintenance
I will be putting my shark into hibernation mode for a couple of months because i am going out of the country for a while.I am planning on attaching a trickle charger to the battery, the one one that gives out roughly 1.5 amps whenever the battery goes below 12.6.However,I would like the car to be easily accessible to my wife as well whenever she wants to drive it. If I attach the trickle charger to the jumping post up front it would most definitely make life easier for her if she wants to take the car out. Doe this have any major impact on the LH or EzK MODULE assuming i leave the keys out whenever the car in in hibernation? I am not planning on starting the car with any kind of charger/booster attached but am still weary that this might cause some damage to it. Any kind of advice will be much appreciated TIA

That is the mode I am using this year, I just ordered the 928 specific charger from Jeannie.
I Would have rather had the one that feeds through the cigarette lighter, 'cause it is fused and it would be hard to forget it and just drive off 'cause it is right in front of you when you get in the car. However Jeannie told me something I did not know. The cig lighter only works with the ignition switched on.............

I use an external connection under the rear license plate . Cigarette lighter style, but positive grip on the + centre pin, as used for heavy current (eg inverter. Has a cap on it to seal when not in use. Look in 4x4 shops. It only requires a short wire run (fused 10A) to the battery, seal the hole through the rear bumper with acid free silicon. Then all the wife has to do is pull the lead out, and go, no clips, no hood to shut. Just have to make sure the lead is obvious when in use - run it so she has to walk through it to reach car, and maybe has a pilot light somewhere when connected.

Some people use a length of wire from the battery with a connector that stays in the rear hatch area, and plugs into the battery maintainer. When it's not goingv to be used for a while, the in car section of wiring just stays behind the tool kit panel.
