Any thoughts on short term storage(Will not drive the 928 it until the weather in the North East improves....like April)

I put both of mine up for the winter every year. During that time they get maintenance and upgrade work done, but are generally not driven. I have, to date, had no issues associated with storage. In years past I have done as little as park it, put a dust cover on it and disconnect the battery.

I recommend you look at the check lists like the one above cause it will help you think about the spectrum of things that should be considered for your car, its condition of storage and use.

I could fly up there and drive your S4 down here to a mild dry winter here in Midland. For winter storage only, of course

This is a great list of tips and tricks! I would consider one more detail: A Rislone treatment before the oil change. Getting old gunk out of the system seems to prevent things from getiing "sticky" inside the engine. I became a big fan of Rislone last Fall, since my engine does not like to sit for more than 10 days or so...
