Hi,
Im in Carlsbad CA. I have a 1974 911 that has been sitting in my garage in LA for 6 months . I want to bring it down here and have someone local work on it to do a good tune up etc. Any suggestions?

I don't have a lead for N SD county, but in-between LA and SD (right off the 73 toll road) is DDK motors. Small independant I used on my 928, he is familiar with the brand. Probably helpful with your 911 as well.
Ask for Don, the owner if you want to check with him.

Just spoke with him a few weeks ago about working on my dad's MB, mention the 928 work he did on my '87 5 speed and he'll recall like he did the work the other week. (It was 15 years ago he did the service). Something I also liked is that he allowed me to get the parts for the service from my parts suppliers - and since 928Intl was right up the freeway it worked out well.
