Default 928 parts delet question.

I have a 1983 928 and would like to know if I delete the cruise control unit and the mileage counter/ maintenance unit, if there are any negatives or things I need to beware of. I will not be using the stock engine.

No downsides. Many of the mileage counters are disconnected, because they can get noisy.

Remove the cable from the cruise controll servo also, so it doesn't jamb the throttle.

Thank you very much GregBBRD for the information.

Since I am not using the Porsche engine or trans, are there any other parts or electrical I can remove, which is not needed. I would like to cleanup and simplify if possible.
