You're looking at about $5-8k in catch-up maint(3k if you DIY), including a new jump post cover(haha). Then you have a +$50k car if the mileage can be verified. Broken odo gear is very common, however the paint on the intake would tend to reinforce the 34k mileage is accurate.

If the car has been sitting for > 2 years, be very careful in running the engine. Remove both of the intake tubes, and shine a flashlight down the nozzle hole behind each dist. Look at the condition and tracking location of the timing belt. If it looks at all strange, stop now, remove the battery and don't run the engine until the timing belt and belt path have been carefully evaluated further.

I hate replacing those odo gears on the 89+ cars. I leave that to the pro's.

Doc the jump post cover is there, it's on top of the Rad, see if the PPI can do a coolant Acid level and brake fluid moisture test too

Love that color combo, and kill them spiders

I think around 290 of them produced in 1991 (No clue if it makes difference in price).. Clean car fax, no service records. Here are some pics.

I'd buy that car!

Looks like a great car. Price? I have no issue with that; it's a GT.

Wow, it looks like it hasn't had a state inspection since 2001! 16 years off the road?!?!

Where's it located? Deferred maintenance? $30K-$35K

well since it looks like this one has been taken,
I will tag on to it..

I have a 89 GT for sale for about a 1/3 of that price,
Its black/black/ black
it needs the engine put back together then installed,
my car has about 58K miles and a salvage title from NY.
It was a theft recovery .

I have slowly been collecting the necessary parts to make this run,
I am close on the parts, to put the engine back together.
The heads have a fresh valve job, I have the cams /tensioners and oil block off pins.
Cams look pretty good with very minor pitting, new silver with red letters powder coating for the cam covers ,
and silver for the 4R intake.
A fresh engine brace cross tube is included in gloss black PC.

The block tolerances were checked and found to be in the middle of spec for all tolerances,
the bores look good, I have a new set of rings and rod bearings and rod nuts,
a complete engine gasket set included as well as a new set of headers and a GT exhaust .
I have a good set of cam gears, and a silicone OPG.
I have the radiator. alternator starter,PS pump AC compressor

Parts still needed, T belt, WP, tensioner rebuilt, MM, PS reservoir and curved line, new rack boots
fuel injectors and clips, a set of cooling fans, turbo timing chains, cam cover bolt set.
A/C flex lines, new tires, new cooling hoses, S4 front spoiler
it has the GT rims they were polished and need to be polished to restore the finish.
It has the Boge red shocks and GT springs
the driver door lock is NFG and surround is slightly damaged and a extra door lock is included but will need to be keyed to the original lock, I have a key with the car, it fits the gas cap, ign, RT door and hatch .
A trip to the PDR man should be able to remove the few dents.
it has original paint , with a few small scrapes/scratches,
the rear PU has been repainted and new tail lamps have been installed.
Interior is in OK condition, I would consider a tan carpet set to break up the black,
the black carpets are dingy, the driver seat has a small cut that would be between your legs while seated.
A new windshield is in place but needs to be glued on.
The half shafts are removed to replace the boots.

It needs knock sensors and CPS .

(TPS and ICV and flappy pod,) (though i have all of these parts used)

I have a new clutch disc and good slave cylinder and GB flex line,
2 complete single disc clutch assemblies.
plus some other assorted parts and a 3 rd 3R head that has surface corrosion
PM me if your interested.
I would estimate you will be into this for about 8K in additional parts and carpets, tires.

12K takes it home
