Indianapolis shop
I was asked by a new 928 owner (nice 79) to recommend a repair shop in Indianapolis.
While I usually refrain from this, I would like to send him in the right direction.
Anyone had any good experiences.

John,
I use Euro Motorworks located on the northeast. side of Indy.
They're an independent shop and work to high quality standards. The operation is very clean and organized and they use the latest equipment. Terry Heath, the owner, is very easy to work with. He has raced a 928 and 944 in PCA events. Their web site goes into more detail on their background and has photos of the shop.
I took my 928 there just after I bought it and spent a sizeable sum. Everything was quoted accurately in advance and only the rquested work was done. The only surprise was the failure of the LH controller while at their facility, of which, in hindsight, there were previous symptoms.
For the most part, all of their work was excellent. However, the A/C system still has an intermittent problem which they did not recognize. That's probably not their fault.
They do markup the cost of parts. I don't know how much but it's not too unreasonable. They also have a policy of not allowing customers to provide parts. If a customer has a special request, Euro Motorworks will source and purchase the part and bill the customer. They say this ensures that the correct parts are purchased.
While they don't "specialize" in the 928, they are very knowledgeable and conscientious.
The bottom line is that they do good work and they'll stand by it. It won't be any cheaper than going to the Porsche dealership but on a 928, that's probably not advisable anyway. I don't have experience with any other shops here except the local dealership. While the dealer did a good job on my 944 waterpump and miscellaneous Audi repairs, I don't think I will take the 928 there.
Have your friend e-mail me if he wants additional info.
