First drive in over a year--new paint
After a lengthy wait, my 928 came home with fresh paint. Finally took it out yesterday for a nice drive. Quickly remembered why I love this car! Have a few more necessary interior bits to finish up and some maintenance before I'm really happy. A few pics of the new schwartzmetallic paint.

Congrats!
Good paint is a big hurdle on the way to a great resto. It's great to see the growing market interest, such that adding good paint is more easily justified. Nice work! Share pics of the rest of the project as you get closer to finished.

Now you will be careful were you park, you'll see every stone chip and worry about it. I know because after spending about 11,000 for paint, I did. Then a year or two later, you'll drive it and come to see the tiny specks and rock chips as part of living with a car. Don't let it become a garage queen. Now that you have a new paint job, it is easier to just get the little things fixed because the whole is good.

Damn! That is one helluva avatar Speedtoys. It make me thirsty and I feel so.....so dry I would lick the water off of that in a heartbeat. But the real post is in reference to new paint: My 928 was repainted a year or so ago and I still have not driven it, but its got a new dent. I put it there! After the money I spent, I wanted to be the first one to dent it. Now I wont worry about it anymore and obsess myself with parking and all that. Sure, Ill be pissed when someone else scratches it, but I popped it's cherry.
Go forth and drive. Enjoy!

Thanks for all the positive comments!
I appreciate all the kind words and encouragement! Mrmerlin, thanks for the comment on the wheels...they are one of the iconic cues for a 928 (for me anyway).
