Default Drive the Le Mans 928 this weekend!

Of course you will need Need For Speed Porsche Unleashed.

I am going to try it this weekend!

Beth,

Need for Speed Porsche Unleashed is a video game. I bought it for my kids a while back and really enjoyed it. Especially since you can download a Porsche 928 GTS, color it the color of your 928 and beat up on other Porsches all day long.

I just saw this file for the Le Mans 928.

By the way, does anyone have the link to the english web page that describes the Le Mans 928s from '83 and '84? I have found a french language web page but not english.

I don't know about you, but I find the NFS 928 GTS woefully lacking. The gearing is all wrong, the acceleration sucks, and the top end is pitiful. I can outrun it with cars that shouldn't even be close. Hopefully the LM version will be more satisfying.

My current favorite is a tricked out 996tt that runs rings around anything else in the game short of the pure race cars.

BTW has anyone else maxed out their garage? I don't remember how many cars I've got (100?) but the game won't let me buy any more. I played this game WAY too much a while back!

Yeah I maxed out mine too. At least one of each model and the extras you get for being a factory driver. Need to get this Lemans 928 though.

Bill,

The one thing that I really remember is the understeer. They have it set up to really push through the corners if you come it too hot. Too bad you can't modify it like the other cars. Maybe a set of Club Sport front springs would help it out!

The other thing was that they should let you open the sunroof in the same way that you can drop the convertible on the rag top cars.

I used to like this game, then it started crashing WIN XP so much that I had to reformat. Got Win2k now, but haven't tried it. I understand that there are also Porsches available for the "normal" need for speed games.

Cameron,

Looking forward to driving your creation. Take a close look at my avatar...it is the base 928 GTS from NFS:PU. IMHO, I think the software designers did a very nice job with a Porsche simulation...always fun to run around the various courses. I still haven't figured out how to unlock some of them but...I'm sure the cheats are out there.

Best,
Tim
