Proper technique for setting throttle body rod ('86 manual)
My searches found now results for this, although I'm sure I'm searching the wrong terms...
I have an early 1986 928 with Manual Transmission. So I only have three cables - Throttle Cable, Cruise Cable, and the threaded rod to the Throttle Body.
I'm doing an o-ring and hose refresh in the valley and have everything disconnected. I'd like to make sure I put it back properly since I think the P.O. messed with some things.
I assume that the first adjustment is at the linkage rod - do you push the bellcrank forward to set that rod, then adjust the throttle cable? I just want to make sure I do it in the right order.
Thanks!

Post 10 in that thread is for adjusting the throttle in an S4 with an automatic. OP has an S3 with a manual.
I just tweaked everything until there wasn't any slack and then confirmed that the idle switch was closed at idle and the WOT switch was closed at full throttle. Might be more complicated than that, but the car hasn't blown up yet.
