Hey Guys.......ya know, this car is not my cup of tea but I think you're being brutal here. This was built for Kevin's Father and you are trashing it mercilessly. Really, how would you feel if it was YOUR dads piece of machinery? Personally, I expected this from a couple of you out in California, but a few others......I'm disappointed in your comments. If you don't like it, then leave it alone and let the man have his day without your BS. Seriously! If I were Kevin, I'd delete the thread rather than have a few more A-holes pile on like you did. Just sayin'

Yes, I thought it was Kevin simply reposting a random CL find. Not that my slamming the car makes it any more 'ok' if it's the work of some random person vs. Kevin's dad. Just that the dual stripes reminded me of Pepe Le Pew. That's all.

Perhaps, I stand corrected. Either way, there is no reason to trash somebody else's ****. I remember a guy, years ago named Watercooler, who modded his 928 with a 911-type nose and after several months of teaser pictures, proudly presented his effort and got beat down horribly by some of the same people-from California whose names shall be not mentioned, but one has a blue GTS. I was somewhat part of it and was ultimately ashamed of myself. He disappeared, sold his 928 and never came back. I think he now goes by Aircooler on RL because he went to a 911. I am no where near a PC-type guy, but one man's trash is another man's treasure and that should be respected. For all you Fvcks who think your **** is so great, maybe you ought to not comment. Again, just sayin'.

A quick follow-up. If you get a nut-case who's thinks he's gonna sell a ratted-out '79 928 for $100K in China and is running for president of the U.S.........that's fair game. If you have a "flipper" who's gaming the system, same thing. If there is someone who is selling their 928 and there are obvious, undisclosed or known issues by someone who has seen the vehicle - that should be noted appropriately for the benefit of us all. I just would like to see a little more civility by people who constantly have nothing but negative little snipes about other people's 928.

First, I'm sorry to have taken a crack at the car in the 1st post in this thread, it's not to my taste but you're right that it's not constructive to put someone else's work down. I shouldn't have posted about it.

RE: aircooler's car, if this is the thread I think you're referring to, and I'm the guy with the blue GTS, for what it's worth I never posted in that thread anything about the work he did. I think what he accomplished looks great.

I am embarrassed to see that I have 12,000+ posts on this site. I'm sure I have a few posts where I'm piling on heavily modded 928s, but I'd like to think they're pretty far and few inbetween. I'll will try to remember this in the future before hitting 'submit'.

Hey Rob, you are not the person to whom I was referring. In fact, I have the highest respect for your contributions to the 928 "tribe". I believe most would know to whom I wrote of, as he perceives himself as a god here on RL and never has much good to say other than sarcastic or caustic comments and then always adds a smiley emoticon after he sticks a knife into someone. At age 70, I really don't give a ****. I've dealt with over a 1000 customers a week in my business for decades and I refuse to let some Dvck **** on my or any others parade when they have a vision or dream, whether it fits me or not. Thank you for your input and I thank you for your personal integrity.
