I am told the Porsche 928 came from the factory with either brown or green tinted windows. I assume the windows on my gold metallic colored 928 came with brown tint. Can anyone confirm that?

I think the "bronze" (brown) was only available the first year or so. What year is your car? and Welcome to you First Time poster!

You can confirm it.

Park the car in the sun.
Put a piece of white paper in one of the windows and look through the window.

The tint isn't very strong, so you need some way to make it visible. The paper does that.

I had a 82 with all bronze glass, so it was definitely available into the early 80's.
