Paal has the CDC-1 unit already - purchased in January and wanted a blue cover (earlier post) and mounting parts. Mark was selling on Ebay - so anybody could have bought it anytime. I have also been looking for a long time and with different time zones so it is really a roll of the dice - as I have often found out when bidding on stuff in the USA or UK. I did not intend to crash Paal's party and apologise for any pain and suffering. I see that others have the parts on offer for Paal - so hope he finds everything to complete his mission on the GTS.

Cheers

You had 1 week without any PM back, only until I reposted in this thread, you felt it was time.

It was on eBay for almost double the price. If that's your defensive argument, why didn't you buy it from eBay a long time ago yourself if you have been looking for it?

I have been offered the cable alone for a total of $10 less than you got everything I needed, including a spare CDC-1. I still have not been offered the bracket or the mounting screws elsewhere.

You might not have intended to crash my party, but you obviously didn't mind enough to get a good deal for yourself, at my expense. I wasn't going to post anything more about this, but your attempt at justifying was just too

Yes apologies for the late reply to your PM but I was asleep.

I feel your pain. I ended up making a bracket out of wood and painted it black. It's shaped like a big U-shaped napkin holder with 3/4" thick bottom and 1/4" thick sides. Not ideal but the cover covers it well so it's not seen. It'll have to do until the real thing comes along.

Ironically, now that I have it mounted, I'm finding it hard to have the CD player and a cargo cover. It looks like a big lump under the cargo cover--like a cat's hiding under it. I don't think the two were meant to go together...

There must have been a run on CDC-1s as I don't see any on e-bay now.

Might be an option if nothing comes up (once more...), how did you solve the mounting? Original mounting screws?

Same mounting locations but the screws had to be a little longer to go through the depth of the wood. So instead of the three stock M6x45 that screw into the rear deck, I think they're x65 or x70. The spacers that go through the carpet are the same though. The screws that go in both sides of the player had to be longer too. Originally M4x8, I think I went with x16 or x20.
