Yes. Make sure you use the right stuff.
Porsche calls for GL-5, and that is the "Severe Gear" from Amsoil. The standard "gear lube" is GL-4. I honestly don't know what the difference is, and how bad it would be to use the wrong stuff. I follow the manual with this sort of thing.
I can't give you a comparison with Mobile, but I can tell you it made a big improvement over the ATF that was in mine from the PO (yes, really).
And standard "Captain Obvious" stuff:
Don't forget there are both front and rear drain plugs.
It's a really good idea to pull the fill plug before draining. It would suck to drain the thing only to find out that the fill plug won't come out.

My Red Line 75w90 NS just arrived at my front door a few hours ago. I'm also hoping to improve my second shift. What made you choose Amsoil? Just curious ...

Just looking for something a little better. I haven't chosen amsoil oil yet. Lots of comments online about it but maybe just hype. I can get it local at NAPA but not Red Line. Just wondering if anyone had any good things to say about it. I use Amsoil 20-50 in the engine and it seems much better that Mobile 1.
