This came up elsewhere on here, but I'm not into hijacking threads

I wanted to share with everyone that an impromptu mini-Frenzy builds up every now and then at my place. ...and anyone who can pop in is welcome

Lou, Dave, and I, hang out at my place (or out) fairly frequently...I never really know which one of the two will pull in my driveway at any time.... Understandable of course, as they don't live too far....but Eric D. does it too, driving 300 miles and pops in announced...(although I must admit he HAS improved his social manners recently)....so especially when Eric D. visits from Maryland, the others fall in.

Eric is coming up this weekend, so another mini-Frenzy is in the works. There is usually a particular purpose for his visit, but often the 928 steals the stage. I have a couple of 928 project cars and a messy garage with parts and too many simultaneous projects that keep everyone busy...(but mostly hanging out and just talking/playing)... My place in Patchogue, NY is the default hangout...serves as campgrounds, as Eric noted before...because the house is in a state of slowwww remodeling. So you've been warned. Eric is not bringing his supercharged car this time, so it's a chance to tease him in showing your doubts he actually owns a 928.....

I'm expecting a GTS engine this weekend too. Again, never a dull moment or lack of 928 content. We'd love to meet you... the more the merrier on our impromptu gatherings/camps. There is no organization to this "event". I like to believe I'm the host, but I'm really not. Just the nice/cool one of the gang

We should get Gerry over too...Gerry are you listening? This weekend...call, stop by, or let's agree on a time to get together for dinner/drinks. Same goes for you Charlie, of course. Anyone else I'm missing? Ernest wanna come out to Long Island? Have a place for you to stay... bring a sleeping bag

My chance to thank those guys for making these casual gatherings a lot of fun!! Imagine how more fun it will be when the house is finished and wet bar & big screen TV installed !!!

Oh did I mention that membership of this group requires you to complete at least 2 home improvement tasks on my house and 3 Porsche tasks on my cars? just kidding... but you know what, these guys have been helping me out anyway! So if you wanna fit in, grab a beer with one hand, and a tool with the other...gotcha again

 

Hmm. My company is planning crew bases in Anchorage, NYC, and Amsterdam...

[good lord- an airline pilot crew base in Amsterdam. Talk about abuse.....]

SINCE I'm junior, I'll probably wind up in NYC. Kewl, I can get to Brussels and Orlando from both places pretty easily!

This weekend if you're flying to NYC... I'm picking up Eric D. from Laguardia on Saturday morning, so if you're arriving to Laguardia or JFK within reasonable time of his arrival, I can pick you up at the same time....Islip MAC Arthur (ISP) is VERY close too. There is always another time, if this weekend is no good....so far it has extended to the middle of the week everytime....and will post here

May want to take the engine out of the white car....and get a little done on the 911, since it's been giving me a hard time lately...Eric and I will attempt to install the rest of the floor registers in the house...and may be fiddle with other heating related items
Eric is flying in to pick up the Grand Cherokee we bought for him last weekend. Remember?

There is also a chance we rent a U-Haul to pick up the GTS engine if you wanna come along for the ride to New Jersey and back.

Yes still thinking Japanese restaurant on vets hwy...but may change depending on others preferences. Will play it by ear and determine a time tomorrow. Are you working this weekend? I'm picking up Eric at 11:30 am from Laguardia if you wanna come along. Tahoe in that case as I don't think either one of you fits in the postage stamp size seats of the 911 or 928
