Default Injector snap ring on 4.5

Finally replacing the old fuel lines today. While removing the injector seals I found that 2 have snap rings on them.
Seems to me that would kill the seal of the oring. Anyone know If I need to leave the snap rings on?

They should all have that snap ring. That rubber isn't sealing anything, it's more of a bushing to hold the injector in place.

Without the snap ring, that bushing can slide down allowing the injector to push away from the intake.

Those rubber pieces are available new from the usual sources. I'm sure Mark Anderson @ 928 International has a box of the snap rings.
