Did Porsche ever offer a leather covered pod for the 928 or where they always vinyl?

You could get leather everything from Porsche - even the *****, stalks, levers, boots, vent slats,... you name it, it could be covered in leather.

However, there were many model years where leather dashes, console and lower door panels were not available in leather in the US. This was because of the hot climate in some States - the heat softened the glue, and allowed the leather to shrink and pull away.

Today, they have better glues...

On the 928 Owners Facebook page, someone inquired with TechArt about availability and posted their response:

Is this a one-time thing or will they make this kit available eventually?

I like it but they should ditch the big wing.

Interior is gorg. As to the rest of it, I'm the contrarian here. Overall, it makes the front end look bulbous. The meeting faces of the lower panel aft of the wheel protrudes. I'm thinking that is a design choice, if you are going to have a line, do something with it. The original form was long curves, no flat areas. This doesn't work. It's damn near impossible to improve on Porsche's design.

I agree with you here. The interior is pretty good, but I don't care for the body work. Removing side moldings and adding GTS mirrors would have done a lot more than adding all these plastic pieces. A good example of "less is more", I would say, but they have to sell their stuff.

I also like the wheels.

Aren't the body addons the same as American Internationa Racing (A.I.R) parts??

Are they going to be reselling them or did they buy the design from them?
