Default A/C compressor

Just noticed my compressor has started leaking oil. What are my options? Can you rebuild these?

Where's it leaking oil from??

You can rebuild it, exchange it, or upgrade it. The new style rotary
compressors are the way to go.......sap less HP, perform better, etc.
If you decide to upgrade check out.....

or talk with 928 Specialists, I believe they can get anything at Griffiths at a discount.

It looks like the compressor is in 2 halfs. The leak is coming from where these two pieces come together.

Do a little cleaning before you declare the compressor to be the problem. Because of the location, oil from engine sump gasket leaks will find its way to the bottom of the compressor, and appear to be an AC leak. Remember that the compressor holds about 8 ounces of oil total. Most likely leak would be at the front seal, and that would take out your freon charge too.

Good luck!
