Default Smog Pump Question

I know Smog comes up a lot. I have been working to get my 928 back up to proper smog standards.

My question, what years came with a smog pump. I am looking all over and only see an idler pulley, No pump!

1980 model

I know the PO removed and modified a lot of smog stuff, anyone know?

I see no signs of a pump filter housing or hoses. Looks like it could be a stock pulley?

All advise is appreciated

I think that every US model 928 came with an air pump from '78 to '95, not aware of any exceptions.

Ya, that is what happened to me. I looked for a good hour. As soon as I posted the question I found that forum.

This always confused the heck out of me. I had an 80 Euro for parts that had the smog pump set up, complete. I always found that odd but I guess it was federalized after 80 so had to comply with 81 standards. Imagine that expense!
