Its silver, has the tail of an S4 and the engine (or engine-like blob) of an 16v, and has "Porsche 928 Turbo" printed on its underside. For a $3 drug store toy, its remarkable solid die-cast metal. The hood and doors open. Roll the rear wheels backwards to wind it up, and let it go! Mine seems to have a bad alignment, since it didn't go in a very straight line
I got these two - all they had - at the Rite Aid in San Rafael. There was also a red 944 cabrio with simmilar packaging. Nicole, found these yet?

Thanks for alerting me - my neighbor would love one of those red 944s! I'll buy them out...
Now, where is the next Rite Aid? I think the only one I know of closed after a few weeks - it was right accross from a well established 24-hour Walgreens...

Good find Jessa...unfortunately, no Rite Aids near me here in FL. I'll check the Eckerd Drug and Walgreens, however.
I just picked up a pretty nice MotoMax (brand) 928GTS die-cast model ( 1:24 scale) for about $9.99+ s/h = $15 delivered from a dealer in CA called Collectable Diecast in Alhambra, CA. Nice folks to deal with and it is a nice little car for the money.

No affiliation, etc...just a happy customer.
Best,
Tim

Kay-Bee is the toy outlet division of the Big-Lots operation, so they get end-of-run stuff and odd lots of various things. I guess I need to go cruise the local outlest again to see if they have any of the 928 modles in their stock. When Karen can get me to go to a local mall, I often cruise through to see if there are any that I don't have. We have black, blue, red, need silver and white to complete the set, by the way.
