I'm replacing the rubber sleeves in the injector housings. What size allen head socket is needed? 79 OB, K-Jet

Trick question!

I think the injector takes an 11mm. It's a standard size.

But... Unless those have been out recently, got anti-seize sometime, or both, turning the injector will just tear a hole in the metal cap. Be prepared to use a Vice-Grips on the bigger "cap" section to get it to turn.

it was a 12. rubber seals in decent shape, but they will be replaced. Injectors are already out; outer caps came out with no issues.

You a lucky man.

The CIS system is a good chance to use 11, 12 and 14mm tools that are rarely used elsewhere on the car.
