Default Door lock lubrication?

Both door locks on my '82 have gotten very "stiff."

It takes a lot of jiggling up and down and force to insert the key in the locks - so much so that the set screws holding the assembly in place have both stripped out.

Seems like the "pins" in the keyway don't want to retract and I have to force the key past them.

I've tried several different types of lubricant such a Tri-Flow, but nothing I've tried seems to make much of a difference - at least for very long...

I'm going to pull both lock cylinders so that I can helicoil the set screws. What is the best way to clean and lubricate locks so that I don't have to force the key into the cylinders to unlock the door?

I took apart the door lock cylinders on William's '78 and found lots of petrified grease and entrapped dirt. Hugely better after cleaning all of that out, and then lubing with Tri-Flow so it could now do it's thing.

EDIT: pic of 'before' dirt and crap:

I would use graphite powder personally. It stays put and wont affect the security system if it is present in your locks.
