Apologies to the Toronto 928 community, terrific folks who I've met at Adam's excellent event. I'm at risk for offending the Greater LA folks, too. But they're not coming anyway,
If anyone has not weighed in on the better date, speak up! I have to decide soon. It's a lousy decision to make - I love you all, even those with manuals.
Here's a photo of Chestertown on a foggy morning. The informal car show will be in front of the Municipal Center, lower right. There are five restaurants on Main Street. The closest, and perhaps the most appropriate, is the Odd Duck.
My wife's grandfather once owned much of the main square.

Camp 928 is a go! I've settled on the weekend of June 16-18, 2017. Thanks for all the encouragement. I've updated the website, http://camp928.com.
Registration information will come later, after the board of my local PCA chapter meets. Keep me posted on whether you plan to attend. If you have ideas about the event, I'd love to hear them.
I've doomed myself to a lot of cleaning. Otherwise, I'm looking forward to seeing you.

Curt - I'm hoping to make it up with my family. Decided to replace fuel lines, PS high pressure line, PS reservoir, and some other tasks prior to making the long trip. And...decided to not yet paint the front bumper cover (what's a few more stone chips at this point...so many already there... no one will notice a few more )

Curt,
Remember - 928 Owners Club could make a contribution toward cost of memorabilia for persons attending this 'Camp 928' meet. Contact me via e-mail if you are interested, and I'll get you to the correct site for more info (if you don't already have it).
Sounds like it could be a great event.

Sounds like fun, and not far from home to boot. Just a short drive from Burlington area. I own a 1980 Euro S with significant up grades. I have been known to play on the roads in northern New York. I always travel with bottles out of the cellar to share.

Curt: I've been as far as Ft. Ticonderoga; it's beautiful, but even though I'm from the East, I have always had trouble calling four thousand feet a "mountain".
Anyway, I'm putting this on my calendar. What would be the nearest motel?
