How Install Window Regulator Roller Wheel?
I'm doing a refresh of my windows but can't figure out how the plastic roller attaches to the lifting regulator.
The wheel is #3 and the 'bolt' provided is #4.
But the 'bolt' has no threads. How does it attach to the lifting arm?
Thanks.

Its not a bolt, its a pin and needs to be mashed/ spread to retain the roller. Caution to not pound to hard/ much as the roller must be free to rotate after. I gave it one to many whacks the first install attempt and mushroomed the pin end tight against roller and arm. I had to drill it out and fortunately had ordered a second and was more judicious the second time around.

OK, thanks guys.
How did ya remove the old one - just sorta tap it outta the hole?
Is it just me or is this a wonky bit of Porsche 'engineering'?

I too hammered too enthusiasticly on the "rivet" and locked the plastic wheel. I also had a spare set, so ground off the head and punched it out of the arm. The second also ended up slightly tight, so took a razor blade and shaved off a tiny bit on the shoulder of the plastic, under the head to allow the wheel to spin. Job done, until I get to the other side.

Randy,
Drill the head off the rivet with an oversized drill bit, so you don't get into the arm at all. The old rivet will come out with a little effort. The barrel of the rivet has swelled a little from the installation process, while the new one should be a zero-clearance fit before you set the end.

Last question (hopefully) -
There is a rectangle of rubber (about 1/4 inch thick) with a D-shaped cutout.
I think this is positioned at the bottom of the vertical guide tube? It is not shown in the PET.
Does it matter which way it's oriented?
