928 GT "Great White"
First post since I bought Vehigaz' "Great White." Car is awesome and everything delivered as promised. I've done a little work on the front seats and resprayed the front and rear bumpers. I Am going replace the shocks on the car and would like to know what the closest to OEM are recommended. Also, on the 89 car was there a 928 S4 decal on the rear or did it say 928 GT?

All U.S. '89 GTs came with the M474 sport shock option, AKA Boge reds. Porsche #s 928 343 055 09 front and 928 333 051 17 rear. That would be the correct set of shocks for an '89 GT.
RE: the rear model designation, if the car had one, it would say 928GT in the same sort of font as the 928S4 decal also found on some (but not all) 928s. I'm not sure about '89 GTs, in '90 and '91 none of the US cars had the 928GT decal on the back (all 129 '90s and all 139 '91s carry the M498 (without rear model designation option)).
So I think it's correct to say all US 89 GTs had the tramp stamp, and none of the 90-91 GTs did.
