Default Original '79 Euro Radio, Intake tubes?

Gday all, In my quest to bring my car back to original, I have finally found a '79 Euro parts car (not easy to come by down here)

Can the gurus please take a look at the pics for me, TIA.

The radio is the latest model from pioneer with Bluetooth connect and apple play.

Intake tubes are run of the mill Home Depot.

Please send both items to me here in the US of A and I'll reimburse you for a grand total of $200 plus shipping

All kidding aside, those are genuine original parts. How is it a parts car with such nicely kept rare pieces? Don't loose site of the car.

Congratulations!

Correct-looking Type CR radio, correct air tubes. Highly unlikely the cassette player will work though anything is possible. Make sure you grab the short red fused power supply wire for the head unit, and check the glovebox for the radio user's guide pamphlet.

There are four different Type CR radios used in 928s, by market they are:

Japan, option code M351, porsche part # 928 645 104 00
US, option code M389, porsche # 928 645 103 00
Rest of World, option code M422, porsche # 928 645 102 00
Germany (with traffic decoder circuit) porsche # 928 645 101 00

Will be interesting to see which version you have there.

Be very gentle getting that (perfect) center console surround out, they're a bit fragile and that one is beautiful!

Ok thank you so much!!!

The car actually drives but it is badly rusted out, in my opinion too bad to repair, It is at the other end of the country, I have only viewed pics so far. He wants $1500 NZ for the whole thing (about 1k your money) worth it you think?
Parts are extremely slow selling here due to relatively low numbers of 928s.

That radio is easily $1000-1200 here in the states. '78-'79 Intake tubes are priceless. Radio surrounds are also priceless since they are butchered in order to fit later radios in them. ****** them without questions.

Say "YES".

That sort of cost for what you are certainly getting is fair.

The fun part will be finding out what else it has.

From the pics, the dash looks ok. Front seat has a small separation, but the rear seat looks ok.

Just waiting confirmation of the sale from the owner, I will post a new thread in a month or so when I collect, along with pics etc...

At this stage I am sure it is a one owner car from Ireland.

Randy! I thought my statements were obviously a joke! Anyway, I knew they were originals.

Btw, remove them very gently. Mine fell apart like crackers when I told hem off.

Haha not like Randy to miss that one!!! Still recovering from New Years I suggest

My intention is to only put them on my car when I take it to shows.

Ok well it's sorted! albeit picking it up from Auckland some 1600kms away! looking forward to getting her home to start picking!!!

A few pics from the owner, (the pics belie the condition under, heavily rusted) as I stated earlier, I will start a new thread with detailed pics/History/Vin when I collect it in a month (Tanz and I heading up that way for the Bruce Springsteen concert on the 24th Feb) Born in the...
