2017 Hershey Porsche Swap Meet April 21-23

Congrats to you all. I got there around 12:30 in the rain. Very few P cars left by then. A spattering of 928's. Talked to Arthur from NY in a red '88 S4 and Adam in a bronze '85. Checked out a worn and battered blue Euro. There was a nice '80 for $12k in the Corral. Got a free T Shirt from the Odometer Gear Guy. No 928 parts whatsoever as usual. Had lunch at the Hershey Hotel with my cousin who was there with his '87 993 Cab that he's trying to sell. And that was it. I think the rain kept a lot of people home. Better weather next year I hope.

Joe

Well it was nice to meet up with old friends ,
the day started off with some cloudy skies and eventually it turned to a drizzle then the wind picked up some.
The turnout was lower than last year, it seemed like there was more junk in the vendor parking lot than in years past, you know the stuff you hold onto because it might be worth something someday, this could have been due to the rain forecast.
Anyway, Otto and Robin were here with their stunning Dunkleblau machine,
and they took first place in the 928/944 water cooled group, and well deserved I might add.
I got a nice second place as well ooorah.

A few pictures - Stan and I with our trophies, a motley crew at dinner, Ed's recently purchased Garnet Red 85, a line of sharks and a nice chiffon 82.

Congrats to Otto and Stan - #1 and #2 respectively! Way to represent, and beating those pesky 944 guys in the process! Well deserved, both cars are beautiful.

Great job on the presentations and victories everyone! My bad for NEVER stepping foot in the concours all day...a lot of fun digging through the swaps but I missed connecting with some of you. Otto's been deserving of that trophy for a few years now...about time.

Nice pics Rick. I also found Adam's shark, assuming he wants to join us in that group:
