Must be near Wolfville. Gorgeous area. Graduated from Dal in 73, back before the earth cooled.

12 Km fr. Wolfville, home of my 'alma matta' Acadia/'69, Western/'72. The earth is still cooling here -- or maybe it's winter approaching??

1000kms from the dealer! Add another 1,000 road kms and a 6 hour ferry ride and you have...me! Ernest took the easy way out and move closer to a Porsche dealer (and a warmer climate as well)! Ha!

Seriously, Garth: suspected there were but never found any 928s in the greater Halifax area...I get there often. And you have 2 cars! I met a guy in Moncton, NB with a mid-80s 928, but that was the only other one I knew of in Atlantic Canada (well, outside a few garage project cars that have not seen the light of day in years).

If you like, PM me with your e-mail info and maybe we can get together the next time I'm in NS. I have a few Atlantic Canada 928 question that you might be able to answer.

Regards,
SteveCo in St. John's

Michael,

Are you sure that you have the conical washers stacked correctly inside the tensioner?

Wally, I double checked the washer stack up with the 928 manual. It was correct.

I finally got the belt on last night. The problem was that the tensioner was bound up after I rebuilt it. A couple tiny taps with a tiny hammer moved the tensioner back far enough to get the belt on. It was still a chore to get the belt on, but it went. Double checked all my timing marks and it all worked out. Adjusted my tensioner and filled it up with no leaks.

Thanks for all the help. Thanks to everyone for pointing me in the right direction. I really appreciate it.
