Default turn signal problem

Anyone had this happen yet? My turn signals both left and right stopped working. I turn one or the other on and the signal on the dash does not light up but the signal on the outside of the car stays on constant. I know that this is a safety measure for road side mode. Because I read in the owners manual that if you are on the side of the road and want to conserve power at night you can turn on the signal with the key out of the ign. and the turn signal will stay on all the time on just that side of the car. Any ideas.

Sounds like you either have a bulb that is bad or flasher that is bad. Really sounds like the flasher is history.......

Chucker -

Don't know for sure......especially for your year, but I do believe the flasher is a separate unit that resides somewhere in the dash around the middle tunnel area. For some reason this location comes to mind, but I could be way off base.......not a common problem, so doesn't really get kicked around much........I bet one of the Big 3 will have an answer mighty quick though.......

PS, just looked at 928GT.com and saw that relay "V" shows to be a turn indicator flasher........so this could be what you are looking for.
P/N 111.953.227.D

Its location shows to be in the fuse panel.......I think later years were different.

I was getting the same behaviour from my car, and found that the flasher rely was about to fall out of its socket. I sungged it in, and the problem was solved.

Chucker: Could you please post a more meaningful header in the future? "New Problem" really does not tell anybody anything...
