So now everyone wants our 928s? Glad to be one of the owners who loved them before it became socially acceptable to collect them...

Well no one in Canada had the ***** to step up and get a really nice Canadian- spec GTS. All I got was hate mail (from my Vancouver ad), seriously.

I did take a deposit from a buyer in Germany, of all places.

Also two follow-up inquiries today from back east USA.

Beautiful example, new rotors, brakes - drives amazing. We'll see.

Yup, I've inspected and sat in this car at Weissach (Vancouver) when it first came in last year. The car was discovered sitting in a garage in West Vancouver along with a 560SL Mercedes with even lower mileage. Apparently, the car was bought for the lady by her husband 28 years ago but she only drove it for the summer that year ( she didn't like the 928), her husband passed away soon after, so she parked it - where it sat. The car is a museum piece / time capsule that still smells new!

Judging from the windshield washer nozzles, it should be an '85 or an '86.

This 90GT has been for sale for some time now...if you look at the codes there is no 220 code...given it is a GT...would it not have an LSD?

Wouldn't it have PSD?

I don't believe so as PSD was on all GT's and then became the standard on the S4 in 90 or 91

I did talk to Lawrence @ Calgary Porsche. Real nice guy. They offered me an MGB in trade They have one Japan car (I despise Japan imports btw, for a number of technical and environmental reasons - avoid!). And one from back east I think - check the effects of salt.

His yardstick was the ton of work need to bring those puppies up to par. Does not apply to "Black Pearl", depending on your final spec however. Anyway it would have been a low $ deal for me, and understandably so as they have to post a profit on the transaction.

As a note about that ultra low miles '88, the crux of it - you are buying a gaggle of very old stock, almost-new parts - but that have seen oil, fluids and the like. And that fuel system, I mean old gas gets awful even acidic, plus the gum and varnish. Having had to pull an entire fuels system bottom to top, those are realities of cars that sit. Not mention condensation effects on anything enclosed and the electrical system, as the car never gets temperature cycled.

I'd much rather have a solid high miles engine that turns the beast, say on a GTS, than pay an insane premium for model that's inferior in almost every way but a number on the odo.

I think that all 89 GT's had LSD with the accompanying 220 option code, but once all cars got the PSD in 90 they dropped the option code since it was no longer an option. That was my understanding at least.

I sat in this strange GT when it was at Urban Garage in Vancouver. this was years ago, roughly the same K's as I recall.

Firstly and obviously - there are no air bags. What's up with that? As of 1990 all 928 were bagged?? I find that strange.

Also the condition of the car was well, looked like it had seen more miles than the odo. That could be due to where it was driven. You'd have to see the carproof.
