Default Before I drill here...

Any problems drilling a couple of small screws into this raised section under the passenger seat to hold a crossover in place?

Looks OK from the bottom...think it's a structural member. Just want to make sure there isn't some weird 928 thing in that area I'm not aware of! Lol ("Hey, this is a good place for a gas line...")

does your car have rear air ? if it does, just behind that area are a few A/C lines. Play it safe and spot JB Weld the crossover down. If these are front speaker crossovers, there's room to mount inside panels of doors. T

Drilling holes in a 928's galvanized body makes Baby Jesus cry.

As above good general advice:
Most crossovers will fit in the door panel.
Crossovers can replace the factory amp if it's being bypassed.
Glue is your friend.
DIN 2-pin speaker connectors can be sourced so that original wiring (assuming still intact) can be preserved.

Put away the drills, saws, knives and thumb screws...

Assuming you are referring to a component speaker crossover, most will fit in the door. You may also consider a location under the dash, as there are several voids where it can be mounted. If you're referring to a competition crossover, I doubt you'll find a better location then under the seat.

+928 look for any 3m double sided tape that says VHB on it. It will never move and won't harm your metal.

I've used "stickyback" cable tie anchors straddling the intended mounting positions. If I'm worried about them holding, I add some Gorilla Glue to the foam tape to be sure. That way you can have the device secured in place but still have the ability to remove it without leaving any damage.

From Amazon, look here.

Monoprice.com offers them for a lot less here via Amazon link for a lot less. I buy a LOT of cables and wiring devices from Monoprice, always good results and lowest prices.

Another vote for 3M 'Panel Tape'.

Available at PepBoyz and others.

Works great to fix the bowed rear GTS reflector strip as well.

Say NO to TOILET BOLTS - aka ROGER BOLTS!

Okay, you guys have talked some sense into me. This is not the passive door speaker crossovers (those go in the doors, obviously)...this is an active crossover to split the front outs so that I can send a good signal to both the main amp and to the subwoofer amp. It's an Audiocontrol 2XS - very very light and thin, and should stick just fine with some trim double stick tape (which I happen to have from an emblem project on my race car).

Thank you, and I apologize for almost making baby Jesus cry. (LOL! That cracked me up)

Sing Hallelujah, praise the Lord of the Landshark and stay far from the path to apostasy.
