Hi All,
I have brown leather seats etc. from an '87 928. These are not the dark brown and not tan; more like a medium brown. I would like to know the 'offical' name of the color (i.e. my white 928 is Grand Prix White). Sorry no digi cam to use to send images.

Bern, you make a good point. I was hoping for limited variations on the brown 'spectrum' for a 928. I wasn't aware of caramel as a choice... I bet you're right. Thank you for your help.

 

The 87 color basic guide indicates a mahogany as the closest thing to brown. The other leather colors are black, blue, burgundy, gray-green and linnen.

However, if your 928 came with special ordered leather interior, then it could also be caramel as Bernard suggests.

Carmel and mahogany look very close on the color guide.

 

How does this compare to your brown?

 

I have two sun visors that color if anyone needs a set.
