Default Caravan to Spring Fling

Those of you coming from the DFW area; we are planning to caravan to Spring Fling as a group. Plan to meet at 35W and Sycamore School Rd. in Ft Worth at the Jack-In-Box. We will meet at 9:00 for a 9:30 departure. Please have a full tank of gas and your FRS radio. We will stop for lunch along the way.

As you know this is the weekend of Roger's daughter, Mercedes, wedding so bring your Hawaiian shirts, shorts and of course your good spirits. This is designed to be a fun, relaxed event for all.

All are invited to Mercedes & Miguel's wedding ceremony 4pm, Sat 4/22 behind the host hotel overlooking the bay. The newlyweds will have pics taken after the ceremony then proceed to a private banquet room in the hotel with (non 928) family & friends. I stopped by the hotel today and was able to arrange discounts $ for Sat, 6pm buffet style dinner. This will be for the 928 crew and there guest(s).The dining room is adjacent to the bar (y'all know where that is ) Drinks will be extra so all party's will receive seperate checks. For Fri night dinner please pm: 77tony your preference between:http://cherylsbythebay.com or: http://www.latituderockport.com Thank you, T

Richard, I'm curious why Cheryl's would be your preference. I'm not familiar with either restaurant, so I would have no basis to choose. Both menus are extensive. Can you help a brother out here?

Food is very good at both places. Cheryl's is a 7 iron from host hotel but we normally get seated in the bar room and it's a little cramped. Latitudes is a 5 minute drive from host hotel and is more spacious. I'm working on getting a head count now and if it's on the lower side I would suggest Cheryl's to avoid having to drink & drive. Lot's of local police out on the weekends. T

Looked like a nicer to place to me. Since we can walk to it, it might make more sense.

Tony-
Very Cool Swag Bag! A 7-iron shot would be preferred for dinner. I don't drink but have been known to get lost easily Craig Johnson and June or Bug (his girlfriend) would like to join us. He's bringing his boat Saturday morning but staying in a different hotel as ours is full! Craig owns C&B European in Katy, TX, X-Master Porsche Tech, a long time 928 owner, one of Roger's customer, my old 911 mechanic and an all around great guy!

Jim-
I'm in for the Jack-In-The-Box Caravan on Friday!

Hi Andy, That's 4 people for dinner both Fri and Sat nights ? I just called the host hotel and there is one room left for Fri & Sat night..2 queen beds/pool side. I have a call in to see if any more rooms can be added to the block we already have. T

Tony-
Two on Friday, Four on Saturday.

Craig and June won't arrive until Saturday morning and would like to join us for dinner. He is going to keep the same hotel as they allow his two tiny dogs. He said its within walking distance.
