Default Clean Interior Pics

It always amazes me what a little TLC can do...now the seats are still VERY dry and cracked and will need reupholstering. And the carpet is absolutely shot. And the dash has more cracks than the Grand Canyon...but it does clean up nice and I can live with it a long while!

Thanks all for the continued words of encouragement!

The dash really doesn't look bad from these pics... The first thing I would do is replace that shift boot! Otherwise it is way cleaner than mine...

Go to ColorPlus.com
Soffener is the premium conditioner for the seats. Let soak in well. Follow this with a cleaning with acetone on a clean non colored cloth before you apply your Surflex colorant as the new surface agent. My seats look brand new. I have a thread on in the past. Joanne is the proprietor at ColorPlus and makes the agents herself. She is very nice and will spend time on the phone answering your questions.

Here's the old thread. It's been years, and with a little proper periodic maintenance the seats still look great.

Here's DocMirror's old 88 re-done at Robert Budd's, the red really pops w/that blue, also added LED lighting, new owner is loving it and had a full detail job done, I haven't see it yet.

OP you can get a Leather dye and color in the light brown cracks, if you can find one go to a shoe maker/repair guy and have the correct color mixed up for you

Looking good Scott. I have no idea how you've found the time to do all of that in what, 2 weeks?!?! Great job. As long as she's running, driving, and stopping good, the inside isn't quite as big of an issue.

Dyeing is incredibly easy and a low cost stop gap/gamble versus shelling out $1400/seat recover.

Great tip about the shoe repair shop.

Use some 303 Aerospace Protectant on the door handles. They'll look new.
