Thumbs up 928 Forum

After waiting for what seems at least month, my 4th issue arrived yesterday....woohoo!!!

Although there have been the comments about grammer and such, I will easily sweep those negativisms aside as this is a magazine that is produced by our own 928 brethern who do so on their own time.

The centerfold photography is nothing short of amazing given the resources of this small - yet determined group who forge on to make each issue better than the last.

We have no idea the number of hours that John Casebere and others spent in layout, writing, or even deciding upon which articles to put in print that these guys contribute so that we, the lucky readers, get a dash of specific 928 information. All of those guys have 'regular' jobs (or are they all independently wealthy? ).

I found Heinrich Smits write up of Marks' 87 to be an interesting perspective that I don't read often. While a number of us persue more performance, here is a guy who has chosen to go for appearance and luxury...with an amazing amount of graceful class thrown in to boot. Exactly what the 928 is to most of us.

The wheel/suspension alignment article by Erik was interesting and IMHO well written from an easy to understand perspective (even included simple diagrams which I personally love). Artilces like this should set the standard for the tech aspects that we need to understand and maintain our cars with.

Adams' Op-Art byline was spot on when it come to defining the 'GT' concept of a car. I especially like the new Got Trampled flavorful story written within the column. Needless to say, I can also relate to the verbal rev limiter.

In closing this long monolog, I would like to extend my personal thanks to each volunteer staff member that manages to work together as a group to produce the 928 Forum for all of us mere mortals to enjoy....so, besides Adam, these guys also deserve recognition for their efforts both individually and collectively. If it weren't for their unselfish attitudes and spirit of cooperation, we would all be reading Excellence and the like wishing for more articles on our 928's. These guys are....

Tom Middleton
Rob Fossett
Heinrich Smit
Richard Andrade
John Casebere
Rod Taylor
Andrew Pope
