1979 POS Parts car
Just bought a 79 5 Spd car for $600. This car is rough. Interior is gone, body is rough, has the most god awful rear wing I have ever seen, hood and sunroof panels are gone. But complete drivetrain is in place. Soooooo I think I will pull the 5spd setup, some other odds and ends and junk the rest. Figured for $600 I can`t go wrong. Vin is 9289200574 Arizona Title shows A (actual mileage) at 28498 as of 2010. Not to sure I`m buyin that, but you never know. car may have been sitting for YEARS!!! Engine turns over by hand. Oh yeah, It has a nice pair of H4 headlamps.

The early 5 speed is notorious for balky shifting. I would suggest you get it running just enough to drive it around for a few minutes and do some shifts. It might be that you will need to spend $$$$$$ to get a useful trans out of it.
I bought a 85 manual for $1800 in rough shape but I tested the shifting before handing over the money. Although the ball cup is toast, the trans shifts well. On the early ones, it can be hard to find the synchros to rebuild them.

hahahahahaha That's her ! A sweet piece of automotive machinery. Those are the pics from Craigslist. The guy tells me he got the car as part of a 3 car 928 deal. He traded a Carrera 4 for a nice 928, a needy 84 that's also for sale and the fine gem parts car I bought. My son wants the engine for a coffee table at his shop. How about that awesome wing ? I told you it was a POS. Someone thought I was advertising it for sale....now that's some funny **** !!

If it wouldn't be so expensive to ship, I want it. I have a Subi WRX wing with the 3rd brake light I'm making into a shelf (that will light up) this would look great next to it!!!
