Yep. A value-equal ride to Illinois would be a tow-bar drag behind the pickup.
As always with used 928 market, purchase price is typically not at all representative of value. In this case, the value is right-side -up for a change.

I got $625.00 shipping to my door and car for $900.00 , so even if I just get it to run reliably I have some safety net. Body is very clean and seats are not that bad for being in desert. Paint is all original. I will get to run quickly , this is one I want to keep .

That's a great shipping rate especially if it's a non runner. Also a great price for what appears to be a TON of potential. CONGRATS!!!!

Sounds like at least a double-win. I saw your first post and went through the mental gymnastics about how to get there to look at and buy it, how to get it home to Oregon, and what to do with it once I got it back here. I'll have to enjoy it vicariously. Again, congrats on the excellent find and buy!

Orange shipping , the guy who sold it to flips cars all the time and he uses them all the time. I get discount next time I use them . They were really nice and already scheduled my pick up and gave truck drivers name . And its a non runner which took longer .

Well the worst thing possible just happen. They were loading my 928 on the transport , pushing across the street it got hit . Any lawyers seller won't take blame even though it's wasn't loaded yet on transport .
