I researched the 928 for two years on the precursors to this forum (PorschFans is one I recall) before buying my first one. On those first maiden voyages, I couldn't listen to the radio because instead of music I kept thinking I heard some noise from some problem I had read about. For a while, even without the radio I kept listening for that first shoe to drop. It never did, and I finally grew comfortable with the reliability.

Someone had once pointed out that the good and bad of these forums is that they are often used to discuss a problem someone is having, so they tend to provide a negatively skewed view of the topic car (928, Ferrari, etc.). Kind of like the evening news tends to provide a negatively skewed view of humanity. I love learning about the 928, so I continue lurking. The evening news, eh, not so much.
