Default Hemmings motor news - 1979 928 and Firebird compare

Rich Andrade's 79 928 highlighted in November Hemmings Motor News article.

Compares it with 1979 Pontiac Firebird!

Yes cool article. Got mine today too. Also, the current Pano has an article with an interview in it, with lots of 928 content. Lastly, I got my Keith Martin Sports Car Market mag today too, and it has 928 content, about the very high jump in value relating to that one that sold last month for $132K. Lots of shark love lately - our cars are getting press!

Look forward to reading the article, as the two cars, other than each having 4 tires and a V8, could be no further apart.

Default 1979 928 vs. 1979 Pontiac Trans Am - Hemmings Motor News Nov 2016

The November 2016 Hemmings Motor News features my car on the cover compares my 1979 928 5-speed to a 1979 Pontiac Trans Am ... you'll have to read the 9 page article to find out which car performed better

Article author Jeff Koch knows the Porsche 928 pretty well.

There was a previous August 2016 Hemmings Sports & Exotic Car magazine article that detailed the rescue of this fine car.

I found this cover remarkable for a couple of reasons but most notably.....

I own both a 79 928 and a 79 Trans Am. Actually have owned over 20 1979 Trans Ams. The blue one is my sole survivor now. Great to see the cover and article!

False, they are nearly step siblings.

I suppose that is actually an overstatement as well, but there is some commonality in the (patri)lineage
