Kidding aside, this could damage your hood. People have found themselves with a bent hood with hatch shocks up front.
I have bad rear hatch shocks at the hood on two of may cars. No issues at all. When the hatch shocks cannot hold the hatch up they can be used up front.

I am aware new hatch shocks are much stiffer than the hood shocks and may be a problem if installed up front. Just wanted to point out for the crowd that bad hatch shocks very well can be reused for the hood.

btw.......they have a correct orientation for install........both hood and hatch.
Thank you Malcolm, I will keep that in mind. I would not think of using the hatch shocks on the hood, quite a difference in pressure and it could kink the hood !
I got these used shocks and when I removed one of them to compare, they were not the same, even if they came from another 928, I am missing the plastic ball/cap portion at both ends. Can I remove the ones from my old shocks to place them on my other shocks, or they are part of the shock ? See pic
