I installed the wiper with all new hardware. I found attaching the left side first allowed a better first try on getting the splines on the right motor driven post correctly aligned. It took two tries to get it aligned.

Michael,
I've never heard of the Tejas Treffen event before. Looks like a fun time. I'll setup a reminder to try to get the Houston 928's out in force next year.
Hope to see you and your car in the Woodlands in January for the dinner.

I started looking at replacing my license plate lights with LED's. Took one out tonight. The light assemblies were in good shape, except the rubber gasket was fried on. The wiring looked in good shape. I have replacement light assemblies on the way and then will order the bulbs.

I preferred to use a lower lumen 'warm white' bulb that I sourced from superbright because I wanted a stock look with lower amp draw. I can did up the PN if you want to go this direction.
You can have the LED's, or swap me for a glove box LED. Happy to help you out.

Thank you Michael for the gracious offer. Yesterday morning, I ordered both some bright 7000 degree kelvin (bluish) bulbs and some lower lumen 3100 degree (same warmer color temp as my interior) from SuperBrightLEDs. Looks like you went with the warm white ones.

I used the warmer 3,100 Kelvin LED's. The first photo has the old lamp in the left side, the new LED on the right. A pretty close match. The second photo are the two LED's. I also changed out my under-hood lamp as well.

I like the under hood light replacement, will be on my to do list when I get home. I have already replaced the rear inside hatch and driver dome light with LED's. I also purchased the VW replacement inserts from Roger. What a difference.

Most are shot with a Nikon D3. I have been looking at buying a D5, but the depreciation is catastrophic. I have a number of lenses, but mostly use a Nikkor 24-70mm f2.8 or a 60mm f2.8 macro, both of which are among the sharper Nikkor lens. The wide angle ones are usually a 16 to 35mm f4, with the long end an 85mm f1.4 and then 70-200mm f2.8 and 200 to 500mm f5.6.

The new Bosch inserts went in. They have the newer plastic (10 years?) tabs instead of sharp metal tabs. It put the blades in the worse possible light and they need some painting.
I spoke to Mary Brown and Greg was preparing some alternators this weekend. Of course I bought one.
Coffee and Cars here Saturday, I will bring a camera. After that, steering wheel out and off to Dallas Steering Wheel for recovering.

Hi Michael,
Really basic question and it seems only marginally relevant for this page of your thread....I was replacing the blade on my rear wiper and noticed there was a spring in one arm only, the second arm had no spring. For reference, is this what you found in your rear wiper? Owned my shark for 14 years and never noticed this before...
