Default Interesting 79 on CL

I just drove the red 79 listed on CL
https://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/cto/5777129643.html
No affiliation.

IMO.... nice car in the pics and has possibilities.
Interior is decent, cracked dash, original radio, California car, the motor runs well, gear box is crisp and shifts well.
No odd noises. Electronics are crap. None of the instruments work, headlights won't go up or down. The red is not original as it was once a light metallic green.
Good potential, needs lots of cleaning

I have seen the S4 listed by itself some where before. I remember the "did not overheat" part. I think he/she has been trying to sell this one most of the year. The red one has more potential like you say.

On an unrelated note Vanster. I really love the /2's Bimmers as we used to have one (currently riding a K1200LT). Is it possible to see a picture of your R60?

You are right the, the red 79 is along with a brownish 83 ( auto) and an 88 S4. He is a dealer and they are all a bit rough. My R60 is in a box

Did he have any 70's BMW's for sale? I believe this guy used to specialize in 3.0CS's and round tail light 2002's and they always showed well if you didn't know where to look for the rust.

He had an 86 or so M5 and a few 5's that were painted to resemble A Calder. I didn't see anything of interest. He has no desire to fix any of his cars, let alone wash them. Just a turn and burn deal

He used to do the same with 3.0CS's and was literally selling rustbuckets that cleaned up ok as turnkey cars.
