Default Bull Run

Just got back from the running of the bulls east coast. That's what they called it. I tried to get some p-cars to go and 3 agreed. A red 996 followed me out to the NY border where we went to this small rural town to meet whatever was going to happen. All i knew was what i read online about this. I was hoping to see a couple of lambos and a ferrari or two actually moving.
In the town there was nothing, so i called the number of the organizer, and he told me the exact meeting location. I said how many you got with you? His answer didn't sound right so I said 5-0 and he said thats right. So we started out to the spot and on the way 5 p-cars and a lotus were parked along the side of the road signaling. That was great to see. Always nice to see a little convoy of porsche's. They followed me to the meeting area. As we approached you could see the unmistakeable countachs lined up. There were about 7 so with us p-cars there were 15 awesome machines in this little rest area in the sticks.
We got out and talked and gawked and sometime later an awesome rumble could be heard around the side of the mountain. Then out of nowhere came a thundering convoy with Diablo's, Modena's, TR's, vettes and about 9 nsx's. The little rest area had 60 exotics shoved into it and on the shoulder.
The convoy moved out and we drove over an hour to the destination - hemmings motor news in bennington VT. I was in the middle of the group and as far as i could see in front of me and in back there were nothing but these incredible cars. I was in an nsx sandwich behind that a gt2 and more p-cars, ahead canary yellow diablo's and a bright red 360. There was a pearl orange diablo that was just incredible. I sat in a murciealago up there which was parked next to a gallardo (not sure of correct spelling). What an experience for the eyes and ears. What did i learn today- my sharks interior can't be beat and i appreciate p-car people more. Not gonna see that sight too many times. People pulling out of side streets had to watch 50+ exotics pass by. We only had a little fun driving, when passing slower folk.

I took video of the rest stop and pics at hemmings. My pics are on film not digital but when they are developed they will be posted. BTW the best sounding car there was an nsx with no cats and an exhaust called Titech from japan, nice owner, undescribable sound, closest to F1 car i've heard. It was also something to see the orange diablo back up with the driver hanging outside the car door tilted up.

Mmmmm, NSX. What a blast.
This reminds me of the time I was cutting wood on my property in Los Gatos. I thought I heard bees, and I listened. A few minutes later this group of about twenty Vipers came down the windy little country road. V10's all buzzing away. I ran up the hill just in time to see a blur of primary colors wizz by.

Hey guys,
One of the other rennlisters posted some pics of the parking lot at hemmings. Some nice shots of some notable cars, including my meteor metalic shark next to the silver gt2. Get a load of the first pic and the old guy sitting in blue. He was the driver of the red TR and when he was sitting in it he looked like enzo from that goodyear commercial some years back.Maybe the plate said ghostrider. Some of the yellow diablos are pictured as is the pearl orange. IMO they are incredibly shocking when seen moving. Almost everything was there including one of the first countach's - wingless and with goofy balloon tires. The red countach is timeless. Enjoy! His count is a little off- near 20 lambos(including miuras and urraco's), 10+ ferraris, 9 nsx, 10+ p-cars, vettes, 1 viper, lotus's, and a few maserati's.

Hey Rufus,
Would have been nice to have you and the shark along as mine and one other were the only ones. The other was a black us my84 owned by a cool guy from ny state. I surf when i have the time looking for people who want to go clean out the carbs. Thats why i bought the car. But as i have said before except for a few people, the NE porsche folk don't seem to do much. In my searches i found this post about this ride. There is talk about this run becoming annual but who knows. All i can say is it was a once in a lifetime deal. Everyone should check out these links for more incredible pics.

One other item was on the way to bennington there was an ny state cop parked in the other lane with his flashers on glaring at everyone as we went by. It did not seem to have the intended effect as triples came soon. Porsche people are the best when you actually get to meet them.
