His variocam project succeeded until, I believe, a chain tensioner pad dislodged, and jammed a cam (?)

In response, he decided to ditch the variocam and add individual throttle bodies, which necessitated sectioning the crossmember to lower the engine to allow for the throttle bodies. This also necessitated the addition of hood modifications (think shaker hood from the 70's, but in a tasteful way) in which the modifier attempted to hold SG hostage for more money over and above what was agreed and paid prior to the commencemnt of work. The 6 speed was something he always wanted, and so on...and on...
