That silly little hose on the ATF Reservoir
Looks like my old hose has sprung a leak. The cap isn't leaking which is a shocker, and the ATF has drained from the torque converter, back into the reservoir, overflowing it.
Is the small hose on the reservoir connecting to the transmission just a basic vacuum line, or is there an actual part number on it? I cannot locate it in PET.

get one at a Mercedes dealer,IIRC its a 3mm hose
the hose is a thick wall fluid resistant hose.
be very gentle prying the hose off the reservoir as it will usually snap off the port.
its best to remove the hose from the trans body and leave it on the tank.

I had changed my reservoir before already. I don't believe the plastic is as brittle as it was on the original. I neglected to put another hose on and now I'm paying the price for overlooking it

that sounds about right you could measure the port on the trans or the tank to verify the hose size

Thanks for the tip. I will run to Mercedes today for the hose and splurge on a 1:43 AMG GTS diecast as well to complement my 1:43 928
