LED polarity, Does it matter? 87 S4 Auto
Howdy,
I have read all of the threads that I can find and am finishing the rebuild/repair of the instrument cluster to include speedo and bulbs.
I am replacing the 3 main bulbs with LEDs. I had read about cautions with getting the correct polarity.
Well, mine work no matter how the are installed and no matter how I hook the 9V battery up.
Is it possible that it wont matter?
Thanks again
John

It won't matter if your LEDs work no matter the polarity. My understanding is that some LEDs have a circuit that "magically"(all electronics are magic to me) removes polarity. If you have installed these type of LEDs, it won't matter.
That said, all the LEDs that I have installed are sensitive to polarity.
