Coolant due to be changed, should the waterpump bolts be changed WYAIT?
I changed my water pump in 2011, and the coolant was changed 2 or 3 years ago. I'm going to change the coolant but am wondering if, given the problem of breaking water pump bolts that others have experienced, I should change the bolts to prevent them from seizing into the block. When I changed the pump in 2011 I installed new bolts, but they were from the FLAPS and were not stainless steel. I used copper anti-sieze on them. I have no other reason to take everything apart (nothing else needs changing), but am willing to do the work if the brain trust thinks it's a good idea to change out the bolts. If it is a good idea, can one change the bolts one at a time without removing/resealing the water pump, or will the water pump need to be removed and renstaled with a new gasket and RTV (mine has RTV on it)?

agree with Sean. Once you start removing those bolts, even one at a time, you will end up with leaks.
