CIS fuel pumps/accumulator question
Gathering all parts necessary to replace old parts and want to know what the collective thinks:
1. Do I need the secondary fuel pump located in the rt rear fender? My car does not have an intank fuel pump. I already have a new primary fuel pump ready to go on the car, along with new fuel accumulator. I have an old one currently, but if I am replacing everything else, is it worth another $250? Or can I just leave it blank and insert a fuel line there?
2. Planning to put a fuel accumulator into my '84 car for preparation of the CIS euro S engine, should I put it in the back below the fuel tank (does it have enough room for all 3 components?) or find a way to connect it in the usual location in the front rt rear wheel well with some fuel line and ends?
thanks

Hey whoa what?
Fuel pumps== external one in the cradle under the inspection panel is consistent to all.
Some have an internal submerged fuel pump that threads into the fuel tank.
Item in the rear fender is the accumulator.
Item in front wheel well is typically a charcoal canister/emissions item.
Or is this the '78, in which case ignore my last..

I'm trying to shoehorn an euro s CIS engine into my '84 chassis.
Sorry for the confusion, I meant the location is, the front of the tt rear wheel well, where typical fuel accumulator and fuel filter go in early cars.

You don't need a second fuelpump as long as the one you have is the correct one.
I beleive the fuelaccumolator have to be monted vertical with the connetions in the bottom. But could be wrong.
I would put it same as original. Probably a reason why Porsche did it.
