I texted but haven't heard back. Besides synchros issues, any other issues I should worry about? I am just planning ahead for my '78, which has issues with going into 1st and reverse with PO.

Unless it has been recently and PROPERLY rebuilt the chances of it shifting well into second gear is really pretty slim....and ask yourself WHY was it taken out of a car ??? It maybe is a good core as it sits but who really knows ?? maybe the guy selling it ? Often such things have a story like " I bought it from a guy who said it shifts great " ...
