Default '87 s4 oil pressure sensor - interchangeable with other cars?

Hi - is the oil pressure sensor on a '87 s4 interchangeable with one from another car? (Audi, VW, BMW, etc?)
Reason - trying to save time in getting one Fedexed to Australia.
Thanks

The 2 pin sender is pretty much a stock unit marketed by VDO [as far as I know] and presumably used on quite a range of vehicles - however there are different variants range wise and I understand the 928 uses a 0 to 5 barg range with over pressure protection to about 20 barg if my memory serves me correctly. There is also the set point of the low pressure alarm that I beleive triggers at something like 1 barg [15 psig].

Then there are "generic" variants made by heavens knows who, where and of what quality? For sure I would think some car engines made down under will have tis type of sender but which ones I have no idea of course.
